Margaret Walicki

Mrs. Margaret Louise Walicki, 86, of Jefferies Highway, Walterboro, entered into her eternal rest Thursday morning, December 13, 2012, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, December 15, 2012, from Green Pond United Methodist Church, Highway 61, Smoaks. Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in the churchyard.

Family and friends are invited to call prior to her funeral service on Saturday morning at the church beginning at 1 o’clock.

Born August 1, 1926, a native of New York, New York, she was a daughter of the late William and Leah Sterk. Having resided in New York until making Walterboro her home in 1981, she was a member of Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband of sixty-five years, Mr. Edward Martin Walicki; a son, Robert Walicki of Walterboro; two daughters, Elizabeth Shataka and her husband Steven of Lindenhurst, New York and Dorothy Crosby and her husband Stanley of Smoaks; and a brother, Richard Sterk of Hempstead, New York. There are four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and six cats that also survive. She was preceded in death by a grandchild and great grandchild.
