Marcene Strivens Rigsby

Mrs. Marcene Strivens Rigsby, age 64, of Walterboro, entered into rest Thursday morning, September 7, 2017, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.  She was the wife of the late Mr. Joseph Craig Rigsby.

The family will receive friends during a time of remembrance from 4 o’clock until 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon, September 9, 2017, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes, Walterboro Chapel.

Born September 17, 1952, a daughter of Mr. Don E. Strivens and the late Mrs. Lillian Delozier Strivens, she was born in Osmond, Nebraska.  Raised in South Dekoata, she resided in Miami, Florida prior to making Walterboro her home in 1990.   She retired as an x-ray technician from the Colleton Meidcal Center in Walterboro.

Surviving in addition to her father of Redfield, South Dakota are: a brother, Darrell Strivens (Kristi); five sisters, Louise Auchampach (Tom), Lois Bealmear, Doris Grunewaldt (Dave), Marcia Benning (Kim), and Gloria Brosius (Greg); as well as  host of other family members and friends.
