Lynn Haddock

May 12, 1960 — October 5, 2022

Walterboro, South Carolina

Ms. Laura Lynn Haddock, 62, of Walterboro, entered into rest Wednesday afternoon, October 5, 2022, at her residence.

Born May 12, 1960, in Walterboro, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Laura Crosby Haddock.  Lynn was a gentle, loving, and always giving person.  She was always present and willing to do whatever she could.   She was a member of Saint Jude’s Church in Walterboro where she had served on the Altar Guild and was a member of The Order of the Daughters of The King. She served in the nursery along side Julie Withrow caring for many children. For many years, Lynn worked in dispatch communications center for Colleton County Sheriff’s Department and had also at other times worked at Advance Auto and the Walterboro Wall Mart.  Currently and for a while now, she has worked in the main office for Cowboy USA, a logistics company and expedited delivery corporation.   Lynn enjoyed fishing and helping her best friend Ann Hughes at L&D Farms.  Her animals, Doran, Oliva, Taco, Sena, and Jacob were her heart.  At any point, she could easily and for hours discuss any episode of “Gunsmoke”.

Surviving are: a sister, Deborah Haddock of Walterboro; a brother, Mike Haddock of Walterboro; a sister-in-law, Terri Haddock of Clinton; Cousin, Carol Crosby Hopkins; beloved nieces and nephews, Michelle Stephens (Matt), Nickolas Pennington (Katey), Katina Orenstein, Becky Blakley (Terry), and Jim Haddock, Jr. (Laylonnie), Mark, Angel, Jennifer and Jesse; and great nieces and nephews to include, Chelsea (Candace), Gary Michael, Kizer, Kenzie, and Kaylee.   She is also survived by many dear and wonderful friends whom she considered family, Gina Derry, Cathie Stone, Ann Hughes, Valorie Hatfield, Judy McCrannie, Melissa Davidson, Brandon PNut, and Christy.

An informal gathering of remembrance will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, October 9, 2022, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.   All are welcome to come and share fond memories and enjoy fellowship as her life is celebrated.
