Lydia Grace Woods

Miss Lydia Grace Woods, 15, of Edisto Island, entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Born April 5, 2011, in Mount Pleasant, she was a daughter of Lloyd Ray Woods, Jr. and Nicole Garner Wilson. Lydia was a rising 10th grader at Lowcountry Leadership Charter School. She was an avid volleyball player, having played for her school team and the travel team, Top Flight. She loved the beach, enjoyed swimming, and especially loved being a practical jokester. Through her kindness, amazing energy, and love for life, Lydia would light up any room she walked in and always made everyone smile.

In honor of Lydia’s life, be as wild as possible, do something new every day, never settle for things in life, love hard, make as many friends as possible, travel, have a dog that’s your best friend, find things you love in life and be great at them, swim every chance you get no matter where, make people remember you, be the life of the party, but most of all, make every breath count and every step remarkable.

Surviving are: her parents, Ray and Nicole, of Edisto Island; brother, Robert Daniel Garner (Kyleigh) and their children, Ryder and Scarlett; sister, Victoria Rose Wilson (Tylar) and their son, Asher; grandparents, Renee P. Woods, Keith Garner, and Kathern Langston; uncles, Brian Woods (Ericka) and Duane Garner (Julia); aunt, Jennifer Garner; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Leigha Kathleen Woods; grandfather, Lloyd Ray Woods, Sr.; and uncle, Michael Woods.

A Celebration of Lydia’s Life will be held 4 o’clock, Friday afternoon, June 12, 2026, on the beach at 102 Palmetto Boulevard, Edisto Island.
