Biography
Mrs. Luvita Bridges Crosby, 81, of Brunson, entered into eternal rest Friday, April 13, 2012 at Hampton Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Richard R. Crosby.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 am, Monday, April 16, 2012 in Varnville Cemetery.
Mrs. Crosby was born August 1, 1930 in Georgia and was a daughter of the late Joe Harris Bridges and Naomi Frawley Bridges. She was a retired seamstress and was a member of Living Word Church in Walterboro. She enjoyed studying her Bible, reading, watching game shows and singing.
Surviving are: her daughter, Linda Donehue Odom and her husband Charles of Brunson; step-daughter, Bonnie Fletcher of Walterboro; grandchildren, Charles "Chuck" Odom and his wife Sheila of Nixville, John Wesley Donehue and his wife Elizabeth of Columbia and Jennifer Donehue Poston of Goose Creek; great grandchildren, Mallorie Erin Odom of Nixville, Charles "Chase: Odom, III of Nixville, and Alexis Poston of Goose Creek; great great granddaughter, Olivia Katherine Lee of Hampton; sisters, Margaret Duffie of Cordova, Eulaween Sauls of Bluffton, Doris Lanter of Allendale, Barbara Bowers of Dover, Maryland, and Deloris Judge of Charleston. She was preceded in death by: a son, John Daniel "Danny" Donehue; stepson, Jackie E. Crosby; granddaughter, Courtney Leigh Odom; sister, Dot Brown; and brothers, James Bridges and Ray Bridges.
