Lucille Moore Murdaugh

Mrs. Lucille Moore Murdaugh, 86, entered into rest Saturday morning, February 8, 2020, at her home in Walterboro while under the care of Agape Hospice.   She was the wife of the late Mr. Donald Olin Murdaugh.

Born August 9, 1933 in Hendersonville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late William Joseph Moore and the late Jessie Mae Varn Moore.   She was a retired bookkeeper form the historic Farena Furniture Company in downtown Walterboro.   She was a longtime member of Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church in Walterboro.    Lucille will always be remembered as a nurturing person who dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are:  a son, Billy Murdaugh (Frances) of Walterboro; a daughter, Jolene Murdaugh Bell (Bobby Fuller) of Walterboro; two brothers, Ralph Moore (Marilyn) and Jack Moore (Thelma) all of Hendersonville; a sister, Hazel Tindal of Summerville; five grandchildren, Wil Murdaugh, Wesley Murdaugh, Abigail Murdaugh, Jessie Crosby (Timmy), and Kristyn Bell; four great-grandchildren, Emily, Alice, Emma and Blake; several nieces and nephews and three dear friends, Mary Allen, Lillie Gant and Debbie Murdaugh.   She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ron Bell;  three sisters, Margie Moore, Sarah Moore, and Lois Tuten;  two brother-in-laws, Riddick Tuten and Robert Tindal and nephew, Joey Moore.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Janet Sykes and Agape Hospice that includes, Terry, Barbara, Yvonne, Stacy, Christina and Mr. Darius for the care and help they provided.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 o’clock Friday afternoon, February 14, 2020, from the graveside at Doctor’s Creek Baptist Churchyard, 126 Doctor’s Creek Road, Walterboro.
