Mrs. Jessie Louise Thomas Spell, 80, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Roper-St. Francis Hospital in Charleston. She was the widow of Mr. Thomas B. Spell.
Mrs. Spell was born November 29, 1930 in Jacksonville, Florida and was a daughter of the late Marty Simmons and Jessie Viola Thomas. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; was an avid reader and a wonderful cook.
Surviving are: her children, Tony Spell and his wife Lila of Holly Hill, Archie Spell and his wife Kim of Gilbert and Sybil Griffin and her husband Steve of Walterboro; brother, Ben Simmons and his wife Bobbie of Ocala, FL; sister, Barbara Jean Reid of Walterboro; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shannon Spell; and brothers, Thomas Simmons and Cyril Simmons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
