Louise Deloach Smith

Louise Deloach Shuman Smith, 80, of Varnville, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. Louise was born September 25, 1943, in Hampton, South Carolina to Helouise Wooten DeLoach and the late William M. DeLoach. She was the widow of Harry Eugene Smith, Jr.

Louise was a member of First Christian Church of Varnville and will be remembered as a loving mother to her three girls.

Surviving are: her daughters, Susan Palazzolo of St. Johns, Florida, Wendy Foulke and her husband Edwin Foulke, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; son in law, Michael Lightsey of Anderson, brother, Milton DeLoach of Hampton; sister, Carol Smith of Hampton; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death is a daughter, Cindy Lightsey; and a son-in-law, James Palazzolo.

Services will be private.
