Mrs. Mamie Louise Beverly Crosby, 91, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Colleton Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Raymond Lee Crosby to whom she was married 45 years.
Born April 20, 1932, in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Noah Beverly and Mamie Mary Nettles Beverly. She retired as the Head Grader from CCX, where she worked for over 40 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and especially loved watching her westerns.
Surviving are: her daughters, Linda Murdaugh of Walterboro and Kathy Pool and her husband Mike of Hendersonville; brother, Eugene Beverly of Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Crosby; son-in-law, Berry Murdaugh; sister, Mary Ann Whitehurst; and brother, Vonlehe Beverly.
Funeral services will be held 3 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon, March 6, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Jones Swamp Church Cemetery, 320 Jones Swamp Road, Walterboro.
