Lois Jean Morrow, a proud veteran of the United States Army, age 72, of Round O, entered into rest Sunday, January 30, 2022, at her residence.
Born August 15, 1949, in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Charles Elmer Smith and the late Kathleen Martin Smith. Lois served our country faithfully during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. She was very proud of her service to her country and all through her life promoted and supported female soldiers serving in our Armed forces. She enjoyed pottery and dabbled in refinishing and restoring furniture. Lois could cook a good meal, and everyone was always welcome at her table. Her proudest achievements were her children and grandchildren and loved them all with a huge heart.
Surviving are: two children, Louis E. Westfall, Jr. and his wife Cara of South Windsor, Connecticut and Lisa Thompson and her partner Randy Knebel of Walterboro; and four grandchildren, Morgan LeeAnn Thompson, Makenzie Rosamond Thompson, Madeline Claire Westfall, and Evan Alexander Westfall. She came from a large and extended family and is survived by her brothers and sisters Charles Smith, Jimmy Smith, Margaret Shamburger, Mary Smith, Geneva Sproles, and Hoyt Smith as well as countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Morrow and her sister, Gloria Ringgold.
The family has requested that memorials be directed in her memory to any animal shelter of their choice.
