Mrs. Linnie Ruth Bazzle, 74, entered into rest Tuesday morning at her home on Lowcountry Highway in Smoaks while under the care of Intrepid Hospice. She was the wife of the late Mr. Thomas Russell Bazzle who died in 1986.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 oclock Friday morning, March 13, 2015, from Smoaks Baptist Church, 482 Lodge Highway, Smoaks. The Reverend Dan Stroman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Born February 9, 1941, a native and lifelong resident of Smoaks, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James Benjamin Padgett and the late Pansy Ertha Britt Padgett. For many years she was a seamstress having worked at Youngwear and she was a member of Smoaks Baptist Church. She will be fondly remembered for her love of others, never meeting a stranger. She loved to camp and always enjoyed bingo.
Surviving are: two daughters, Deborah Ruth Lawton and her Fiancée Eugene Miller of Walterboro and Tammy Bazzle Hiott and her husband Sammy of Smoaks; four grandchildren, Victoria French and her husband Raymond, Jennifer Simmons and her husband Chris, Miranda Lawton and Susie Hiott; and five great grandchildren, Kaylee French, Natalie French, Macon French, Noah Lawson, and Grayson; as well as a dedicated family friend, Jerry Hiott. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lottie Pete Padgett.
