Biography
Mrs. Linda Sue Smith Crosby Cook, 71, of West Pulaski Drive, entered into eternal rest Monday, February 27, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, March 1, 2012 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery.
Mrs. Cook was born January 16, 1941 in Statesboro, Georgia and was a daughter of the late Bernard Smith and Marie Aiken Smith. She loved fishing in her pond and working with her flowers, but most importantly, she cherished her family and loved spending time with them.
Survivors include: Tommy Cook of Hampton; children, Tammy Hiers and her husband Paul of Estill, Tommy Crosby and his wife Debbie of Nixville, Penny Crapse and her husband Tommy of Cummings, and Gloria Stanley and her husband Ken of Walterboro; brother, Gerald Smith of Statesboro, Georgia; sisters, Joyce Barber of Statesboro, Georgia and Janice Dikalatos of Smyrna, Georgia; grandchildren, Heather Hiers and her girlfriend Tammy, Paul Hiers, III and his wife Patrica, Brandy Hiers, Cliff Hiers, Doug Watkins and his wife Jennifer, Sabre Garcia and her husband Juan, Kevin Swanner and his wife Jessica, Brandon Swanner and his wife Ashley, Jason Crapse and his wife Fallon, Julie Brunson and her husband Lance, April Lopez and her husband Daniel, and Kenneth Stanley; and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Looman Hoyle Smith, Charlie Smith, Bobby Smith, and Johnny Smith; and sisters, Martha Jewel Smith and Shirley Smith Strange.
