Linda Sease

Mrs. Linda Varnadoe Sease, 71, of Lodge, entered into eternal rest Monday evening, June 26, 2023, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Born August 7, 1951, in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Mon Lee Varnadoe and Margaret Simmerman Varnadoe.  She had worked as a Phlebotomist at the Bamberg Dialysis Clinic, was a homemaker, and caretaker for her mother-in-law, Geneva Sease. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Evangelical Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed cross-stitching, going to the mountains, horseback riding, and helping on the family farm.  Most of all, she loved her family.  She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.

Surviving are: her husband of 52 years, Ralph Allen Sease, Sr. of Lodge; sons, Ralph Allen Sease, Jr. and his wife Angie of Lodge and Dustin Derek Sease and his wife Shawna of Lodge; daughter-in-law, Holly Craven Sease Burley and her husband Rion of Lodge; grandchildren, Shane Austin Sease, Larry Hunter Sease, Alivia Lorin Sease, Graceley Ann Sease, Slate Ryder Sease, Asa Allen Sease; brother, Mon Lee “Chico” Varnadoe, Jr. of Orangeburg; sisters, Marie McKenzie of Lexington, Judy Sandifer of Lexington, Sherry Ramsey of Bamberg, and Deborah Fuller of Lexington; sister-in-law, Eunice “Flucie” Hughes Sease of Lodge; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Willie Shane Sease; brothers, Jimmy Varnadoe and Michael Varnadoe; and brother-in-law, Hallman Sease.

The family would like to thank Linda’s best friend, Frances Ulmer; the staff of Allendale County Hospital and MUSC; as well as her home health nurse, Ashley Wade, for the loving care they all gave Mrs. Linda.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Thursday morning, June 29, 2023, at Mount Pleasant Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1173 Mount Pleasant Road, Ehrhardt.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 am in the church sanctuary.
