Mrs. Linda Crosby Nettles, 62, of Johns Island, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, March 19, 2016, at the Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o’clock Thursday afternoon, March 24, 2016, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
Born May 8, 1953 in Pellum, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Henry Solomon Crosby and the late Margie Lucille Godwin Crosby. She was a retired employee of the meat department at Bi-Lo.
Surviving are: her husband, Mr. William H. Nettles; a daughter, Ora Melissa Garcia and her husband Jose of Ravenel; her step-children, Sonja Pacey, Sharon Roberts, Toria Nettles, John Michael Phelps, Woody Nettles, and Robert Crosby; a brother, Jessie Crosby of Cottageville; and five sisters, Joyce Mitchum of Huger, Lorene Mitchum of Ravenel, Margie Crosby of Union Mills, North Carolina, Diane Spahn of Cottageville, and Sandra Crosby of Summerville. There are four grandchildren, Bradly William Garcia, Dalton Jacob Garcia, Nicholas Antonio Garcia, and Joseph Angel Garcia; as well as several step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step-son, Riley Nettles; and two brothers, Jimmy Crosby and Junior Crosby.
