Linda May (Litchfield) Hunt

RUFFIN – Ms. Linda Litchfield Hunt, 72, of Ruffin, entered into rest Thursday morning, September 4, 2025, at her residence.

Born March 22, 1953, in Jasper County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Willard Litchfield and the late Ramona Nicely Litchfield.   She will always be remembered for her love for cats and horses, traveling to the beach, and her talent with arts and crafts.

Surviving are: two sons, Jamey Litchfield (Patti) of Ruffin and Jimmy Hunt (Juanita) of Ruffin; a sister, Edna O’Bryant of Walterboro; six grandchildren, Rachel, Joseph, Jacob, Bonnie, Caitlin (Sam), and Cody (Jessica); and two great grandchildren, Gracie and Colton.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Litchfield and Harvey Litchfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o’clock Monday afternoon, September 8, 2025,  from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.   The Reverend Brody Pope officiating.   Interment will follow in Doctor’s Creek Baptist Churchyard, 126 Doctor’s Creek Road, Walterboro.
