Mrs. Linda Fralix Church, 79, of Lodge, entered into rest early Sunday morning, May 3, 2026, at her residence. She was the loving wife of the late Hurley Joseph Church.
Born July 19,, 1946, in Colleton County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Parker W. Fralix and the late Margie Elizabeth Altman Fralix. A devoted homemaker, she will always be remembered for the dedication she had for her children. She was always involved in whatever her family was doing and was always babysitting the children in her community. She possessed a great passion for archeology, always looking for flint arrow heads and ancient Indian artifacts. Linda loved animals and was raised in her family’s home church of Carter’s Ford Baptist Church in Lodge.
Surviving are: three children, James Parker McDonald (Christine) of Bailey, North Carolina, Bobbi J. Kennedy (Robert “Bob”) of Westminster, and Sharon M. Suraci of Hamden, Connecticut; a sister, Sanda Marlene Hughes of Islandton; five grandchildren, Kayla Nicole McDonald, Parker David McDonald, Jared Anthony McDonald, Richard Bennett, Jr. and Adrianna Suraci; and five great grandchildren; as well as her dear friend and caregiver, Don Stuart and her beloved children and family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock Monday morning, May 11, 2026, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Danny Fogle officiating. Interment will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort.
