Biography

Mrs. Lillie Bell Crosby Nettles, 86, of Cane Branch Road, Ruffin, entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Colleton Medical Center. She was the widow of Mr. Harry Ernest Nettles.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Monday, June 4, 2012, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Ruffin.

Mrs. Nettles was born June 2, 1926 in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Benjamin Kistler Crosby and Elvie Breland Crosby. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and also attended Living Word Church. She was a devoted wife and loving mother.

Surviving are: her son, Randall Nettles of Ruffin; brother, Billie Breland Crosby of Brunson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Kistler Lee Crosby, Walter Crosby, Hazor Crosby, and Abraham Crosby; and sisters, Irene Crosby and Elizabeth Nettles.
