Mr. Lewis Marion Stanfield, 75, of Eagle Lake Drive in Slidell, Louisiana, entered into his eternal rest Friday, September 7, 2012, at his residence.
Funeral services were conducted 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, September 15, 2012, from the graveside with military honors at Doctor's Creek Baptist Church,126 Doctors Creek Road, Walterboro. The Reverend Lewis Faulkenberry officiating.
A native of Walterboro, he was a son of the late George Marion Stanfield and the late Mary Hiott Stanfield. He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy until his retirement from active duty.
Surviving are: two sons, Louie J. Stanfield and his wife Kelly of Meadville, PA and Randy Stanfield and his wife Laura of Gilbertsville, PA; three daughters, Holly L. Stanfield Cordova and her husband Angel of Walters, OK, Tonya L. Stanfield Kitchen of NY, and Danielle J. Stanfield Blewett and her husband Frank of Cambridge Springs, PA; three brothers, Donald Stanfield of Columbia, Wayne Stanfield of Summerville, and Marvin Stanfield of Walterboro; and a sister, Bobbie Ann Crosby of Round O. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Lewis J. Stanfield, Daniel L. Stanfield, Kimberly D. McAfoose and her husband Carmeron, Alicia L. Cordova, Alec "Nico" Cordova, Alanis L. Cordova, Alexis D. Stanfield, Damian M. Carolson, Scott D. Kitchen, Laura Mae Lynn Kitchen; and one great grandchild, Conner Allen McAfoose. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Stanfield; and a sister, Janet Stanfield Huff.
