Mr. Levy Irvin Hoats, Jr., 68, of Hampton, entered into eternal rest Wednesday morning, September 1, 2021 at Hampton Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Deborah Jean Jenkins Hoats.
Born May 12, 1953 in Varnville, he was the son of Guelda Robinson Hoats and the late Levy Irvin Hoats, Sr. He was a retired electrician and had worked for Scotsman and Smyly Construction. He was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. He loved working at his beloved church, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved to play pool. He was a member of the American Pool Association in Hampton. More than anything, he loved his family and especially loved spending time with his great grandson.
Surviving are: his mother, Guelda Hoats of Hampton; children, Michelle Denise Hoats Jacobs and her husband Robert, Amanda Jean DeLoach, and Darryl Irvin Hoats, all of Hampton; sister, Angela Hoats Gannt and her husband Steve of Oconee, Florida; grandchildren, David Trenton DeLoach (Melita Rivers), Brandon Caleb DeLoach, Billy Koon, Kaylee Amanda DeLoach; and great grandson, David Brandon DeLoach. In addition to his wife and father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph H. Hoats.
Graveside services will be held 10 o’clock, Thursday morning, September 9, 2021 at Varnville Cemetery.
