Mr. Leon Edward Deane, 72, of Islandton, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday morning, May 29, 2024, at his residence.
Born December 14, 1951, in Sharon, Connecticut, he was a son of the late Russell Newton Deane and Agnes Frances Wesolowski Deane. He was a retired truck driver for Boyd Brothers. He loved his job and being a truck driver and most of all, loved his family. He enjoyed antique cars and trucks, motorcycles, Cajun music, and old country music-especially Willie Nelson.
Surviving are: his companion, Marilyn Lee of Islandton; grandsons, Michael Green (Taylor) of Islandton and Gage Lee (Katie) of Islandton; great grandchildren, Brentley, Layce, Grayson, Kash, and Helena; one great granddaughter who is on the way, Sage; daughter, Kathy Lee of Islandton; daughter, Deanna Lynn Ivy (Joseph) of Tennessee; grandchildren, Caleb Botts, Isabella Botts, and Zoie Ivy; daughter-in-law, Martha Deane of Tennessee; grandchildren, Leon Deane, III, Arron Deane, and Ewan Deane; brother, Ron Deane of Connecticut; and sister, Sharon Richardson. He was preceded in death by a son, Leon Edward Deane, Jr.; brothers, Russ Deane, Jr., and Dan Deane; and a sister, Heidi Deane.
