Leo Hawkins

Mr. Leo Milton Hawkins, 75, of Islandton, died Thursday, January 2, 2014 in Columbia.

Graveside funeral services will be held 3 pm, Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Adnah United Methodist Church Cemetery in Islandton.

Born July 13, 1938 in Tupelo, Mississippi, he was a son of the late Lucian Moland Hawkins and Myrtle Johnson Hawkins Adcock. He retired from the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. He loved fishing and was a football fanatic.

Surviving are: his children, Lorrie Nettles of Ehrhardt, Mark Hawkins (Ann) of Ruffin, Steve Hawkins (Salina) of Islandton, and Brenda Jones (Randy) of Ruffin; brother, Joe Hawkins of Indianola, Mississippi; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
