Mr. Leo Bennett, 78, of Smoaks, entered into is eternal rest Thursday evening, January 6, 2011, at his residence under the care of Agape Hospice.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 oclock Sunday afternoon, January 9, 2011, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro with The Reverend ONeal Vaughn and The Reverend Wayne Varnadoe officiating. Interment will follow in Bedon Baptist Churchyard, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro.
Mr. Bennett was born October 13, 1932 in Smoaks, South Carolina, and was a son of the late Ollie and Golden Brothers Bennett. He was a retired employee of Dayco in Walterboro and had attended Smoaks Baptist Church and Smoaks Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mary Ann Peirson of Walterboro; a brother, Floyd Bennett of Ruffin; and his caretaker and first cousin, Evelyn B. Robertson of Walterboro. There are three grandchildren that also survive.
