Biography

Mrs. Lena Crosby Williams, 96, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at Charlotte Medical Center. She was the widow of the late Walter Williams.

Graveside funeral services will be held 3 pm, Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was born January 3, 1915 in Walterboro and was the daughter of the late Murphy and Nora Connelly Crosby. Most of her life was spent in Washington DC, where she retired as a department store Supervisor.

Surviving are: her nephew, David Crosby of Charleston; great nieces, Tamela (Eric) Kyryliuk of Charlotte, NC and Lila Crosby of Augusta, GA; great nephew, Michael (Jennifer) Maxwell of Evans, GA; and 5 great great nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Woodrow Crosby; a niece, Corrie Crosby; and a nephew, Carl Crosby.
