Mr. Larry Gene Robertson, 62, of Log Cabin Lane near Smoaks, entered into his eternal rest Saturday evening, December 8, 2012, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Wednesday afternoon, December 12, 2012, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend ONeal Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
Born March 25, 1950, a native of Colleton County, he was a son of the late Govan Jefferson Robertson and the late Ruby Mae Robertson Robertson. He was a retired meat cutter from Prines Provisions in Walterboro and had attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Walterboro. He was an avid outdoors man who possessed a love for fishing and gardening. He will be fondly remembered for his love of animals.
Surviving are: his wife of thirty years, Mrs. Evelyn Bennett Robertson; a son, Larry Brad Robertson and his wife Barbie of Smoaks; four daughters, Paddy Groves and her husband Jimmy, Alicia McCall, Akacia Chase and her husband Andy, and Kayla Robertson all of Smoaks; a brother, Harold Robertson and his wife Della of Walterboro; and a sister, Evelyn Newman of Charleston. There are fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren who also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Govan J. Robertson.
