Mr. Larry Tony Nettles, Sr., 46, of 253 Bedon Road, Walterboro, died Thursday evening, August 13, 2009, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.



Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Sunday afternoon, August 16, 2009, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.



Mr. Nettles was born September 6, 1962, in Walterboro and was a son of the late Lawrence Adam Nettles and the late Gracie Elise Linder Nettles. He was a former roofer with High Quality Roofing in Ruffin. He possessed a strong love for the outdoors and hunting and fishing was his life. He was a member of Little Salkehatchie Hunting Club.



Surviving are: his wife, Ruth M. Davenport; three sons, Derrick Tony Nettles and David Tucker both of Charleston and Larry Tony Nettles, Jr. of the home; five brothers, Allen Nettles (Faye) of Walterboro, T.L. Nettles of Ruffin, Terry Nettles (Lora) of Walterboro, Jeff Nettles of Sumter, and Scott Nettles (Tammy) of Ruffin; two sisters, Margaret Prince of Walterboro and Gail Nix of Smoaks; and two sisters-in-law, Kathy S. Nettles of Ruffin and Lorrie Nettles of Ehrhardt. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter; a brother, Daniel Nettles; and a brother-in-law, Coy Prince.
