Mr. Larry Mixon, 57, of 2876 Coolers Dairy Road, Walterboro, entered into his eternal rest on the afternoon of Friday, October 2, 2009, surrounded by his loving family at his residence under the care of Odyssey Hospice of Walterboro.



Funeral services will be conducted 4 oclock Monday afternoon, October 5, 2009, from the North Walterboro Baptist Church, 2177 North Jefferies Blvd, Walterboro with The Reverend Curtis Pettit officiating.



Mr. Mixon was born March 9, 1952, in Colleton County and was a son of the late Eric Mixon and the late Rhumell Robertson Mixon. He served his country faithfully in the United States National Guard. He worked with Global Aeronautical as a builder of fusellodge of Boeing Dreamliner and was a retired employee from Asten-Johnson in Walterboro where he worked for thirty years as a Pen Seam Engineer. He possessed a very avid love of the outdoors and his truest sport was that of hunting big game deer and softball. He had a fond love of his children who were his everything and his only objective in life was to take care of his dream, which was his family, Shelby, Josh and Deb.



Surviving are: his wife of twenty-eight years, Mrs. Deborah Stanley Mixon; a son, Joshua Eric Mixon of the home; and a daughter, Shelby Lynn Mixon of the home. There are two sisters, Sarah Tanner of Saint Matthews and Linda Vaught of Aynor.



In lieu of floral tributes, the family has humbly requested that memorial contributions be directed in his memory to: North Walterboro Christian Academy, Post Office Box 905, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
