Larry Jones

Mr. Larry Joe Jones, 62, of Bamberg, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at Prisma Greenville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

Born in Greenville, South Carolina on March 9, 1962, he was the son of the late William F. Jones and Doris Austin Jones.  Larry graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Finance.  He played intramural basketball at Carolina.  He also played football for Bamberg High School.  Larry was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan and loved playing his guitars.  He also loved going to Nanny Debra’s and eating her home cooked meals.  He retired from Rockland Industries in Bamberg as a print manager.  Larry was a believer in God.  He will be forever loved and missed.

Surviving are: his wife, Angela Jones; his daughter, Danyale (Bryson) Hallman; siblings, Barry (Sheila) Jones of Stockbridge, Georgia, Bobby (Lorraine) Jones of Gainesville, Georgia, David (Darlene) Jones of Social Circle, Georgia, and Darryl (Deborah) Jones of Lexington, South Carolina; brothers-in-law, Dean (Ria) Williams of Ehrhardt, South Carolina, and Chris (Olivia) Williams of Saint Matthews; special nephew, Adam Jones of Lexington, South Carolina; his in-laws, Larry and Debra Russell of Bamberg, South Carolina, and Roger and Cathy Williams of Yemassee, South Carolina; aunt, Shirley (Leroy) Nodine of Simpsonville, South Carolina; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held 2 o’clock, Sunday afternoon, February 2, 2025, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Ehrhardt-Bamberg Chapel.  The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 o’clock until the hour of service.
