Mr. Clayton Lamar Smoak, Jr., 62, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Summerville Community Hospice Center.
Born February 8, 1962, in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Clayton Lamar Smoak, Sr. and Emma Dell Evans Smoak. He enjoyed carpentry work and was the owner of Smoaks Roofing and Construction. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his fiancé, Lisa Mixon of Walterboro; son, Bryan Smoak of Walterboro; brother, David Beach of Walterboro; sisters, Helen Smoak Priester and her husband Wayne of Ruffin, Shirley Brown of Walterboro, and Sandra Walker of Walterboro; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Vergie Jones Thomas Smoak; and siblings, Bobby Beach, Kitty Strickland, Edward Smoak, and William Smoak.
