Lamar Peters, Iii

Mr. Lamar Rudolph Peters, III, 60, of Walterboro, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at Trident Medical Center.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11 am, Friday, December 4, 2015 at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort.

Mr. Peters was born March 16, 1955 in Charleston and was a son of Lamar Rudolph Peters, Jr. and Merle Constance Hiott Selvy.  He served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are: his father, Lamar Rudolph Peters, Jr. of Bamberg; his mother, Merle Hiott Selvy of Walterboro; fiancé, Debbie Weeks of Walterboro; daughters, Janice Mixon of Mocksville, NC, Elizabeth Garrett of Camden, Betty Benac of West Columbia, and Lamara Johnson of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Nicholas, McKenzie, Victoria, Olivia, Ariana, Desiree, Desiree Sierra, Douglas, Devin, Raven, and Renee; brothers, William T. Peters of Danli, Honduras, Larry Joe Peters of Bonneau, Kevin Peters of Alaska, Terry Peters of Bamberg, and Andrew Selvy of Walterboro; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lee Peters.
