Kirby Reeves

Mr. William Kirby Reeves, III, 64, of Cottageville, entered into rest Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He was the loving husband of thirty-eight years to the late Mrs. Melissa Johnston Reeves who died in 2019.

Born July 27, 1961, in Charleston County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late William Kirby Reeves, Jr. and the late Alice Hicks Youtsey. He was a retired planner from Ingevity of Charleston and will always be remembered for his love of going out on the boat as well as camping.

Surviving are: a son, Timothy Jacob Reeves and his wife Danielle of Walterboro; a daughter, Nikki Reeves Nettles and her husband Ricky of Walterboro; and six grandchildren, McKenzie Crosby Hudson and her husband Hunter, Timothy Jacob Reeves, Jr., Caroline Avery Nettles, Whitney Nicole Reeves, Heidi Grace Reeves, and Amberlee Renee Boedeker. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Purcell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o’clock Monday afternoon, June 22, 2026, from the graveside at Cottageville Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
