Kenneth Vinson

Mr. Kenneth Neal Vinson, Sr., 76, of Round O, entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.  He was the husband of the late Frances Jolly Vinson.

Born December 31, 1947, in Chester County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late John Charles Vinson and Lillien Heit Vinson.  He served his country faithfully and retired from the United States Navy having served aboard the USS Trenton and the USS Power.  He was a member of Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church in Round O.

Surviving are: his children, Kenneth Neal Vinson, Jr. of Rock Hill, Dawn V. Rogers of Richburg, and Jon Arbuckle of Arizona; brother, Jeffery Vinson of Rock Hill; and sister, Janine Vinson of Rock Hill; 8 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Derek Long; and brother, Barry Vinson.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, March 9, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
