Kenneth Wade Lyons

Mr. Kenneth Wade Lyons, affectionately known to everyone as “Kenny”, 69, of Smoaks, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, April 25, 2026, at his residence.

Born November 3, 1956, in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Kirby Wilkins Lyons and Rose Patricia McAlhaney Lyons. Kenny was a heavy equipment mechanic having worked for John Deere-Orangeburg, John Smith, Jr. Logging, Tidewater, Pioneer, and retired from BLT Brother’s. Kenny loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He never missed a chance to take a beach trip for a week or even just a day. He never missed an opportunity to help someone in need, he just fixed it the “Kenny way”. Most importantly, he loved his family; his wife, children and grandchildren were his world.

Surviving are: his wife of 50 years, Edith “Snoop” Williams Lyons of Smoaks; daughters, Kendra Lyons Williams and her husband Wes of Smoaks and Lisa Marie Lyons and her husband Daniel W. Crosby of Bamberg; grandchildren, William Kirby Fralick, Rivie Marie Fralick, Emma Rose Williams, and Kyler Weston Williams; his bonus grandchildren that he loved dearly, Faith Danielle Robertson and her husband Codey and Alexandria Michelle Lyons and her husband Rodney; and great grandchildren, Darren Joshua Crosby, McKinley Danielle Grimes, Parker Alexander Grimes, Olivia Annette Robertson, and Elijah Daniel Lyons. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Anthony Lyons and his wife Cindy of Walterboro, Richard Dwight Lyons and his wife Deborah of Greenwood, and Delma Ray Lyons and his wife Cindy of Bluffton; a special person that he loved as a son, Michael Cassidy Lane (Chasity Lyons); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Christmas in October Misson Fund, 5251 Buckhead Road, Smoaks, South Carolina 29481.

A memorial service will be held 3 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, May 2, 2026, at Buckhead Advent Christian Church, 5251 Buckhead Road, Smoaks. A Celebration of Kenny’s Life will follow the memorial service at 176 Beavers Pass, Smoaks.
