Mr. Kenneth Varnadoe, Jr., known by all as K.J., age 43, of Ruffin, entered into rest Monday afternoon, December 8, 2014, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 11 oclock Friday morning, December 12, 2014, from Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 925 Jefferies Highway, Walterboro. Father Antony Benjamine, celebrant. Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
Born January 5, 1971, a native of Colleton County, he was a son of Mr. Kenneth Varnadoe, Sr., and Mrs. Doreen Mahon Varnadoe. He was a machine operator with Tubol in Bamberg. K. J. was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting and fishing fresh water creeks was not only his greatest pastime, but his passion in life. He loved animals and spending time in his garden and was a huge Nascar Motor Sports Racing fan who always supported Jeff Gordon. He was a member of Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church where in his younger days he served as an altar boy. KJ was a loyal friend and will always be remembered for the love and devotion he devoted to his family and friends, he never met a stranger.
Surviving are: his parents of Ruffin; his brother, Chet Varnadoe of Ruffin; an uncle, Billy Varnadoe of Saint Stephens; and an aunt, Lorene Varnadoe. Included among many cousins who survive him are: Scott DeWitt and Christy, Angie Avant and her husband John, Ricky Crosby, Chelsey DeWitt, Bobby Varnadoe, Susan Rumfelt, and Deborah Bishop.
