Kenneth Gerald Gooding

Kenneth Gerald Gooding, 88, of Hampton, entered into eternal rest Monday morning, August 17, 2026, at his residence in Jacksonville, Florida. He was the husband of the late Kathryn Anderson Gooding, to whom he was married 51 years.

Born December 10, 1937, in Miley, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Irving Gooding and Juanita Ritter Gooding Wood. Gerald was a retired Highway Engineer with the Federal Highway Administration.

Surviving are: his sons, Kenneth Gerald “Jerry” Gooding, Jr. and his wife Dana, and William Scott Gooding and his partner Vernellie Booyens; grandchildren, Daniel Gooding and Elizabeth Gooding; and sister, LaRue Gooding.

Funeral services were held privately.
