Biography

Katie Ann Jones Norris, 39, of Florence, entered into rest Sunday evening, May 4, 2014, at the McLeod Medical Center in Florence.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Saturday morning, May 10, 2014, from The Brice W. Herndon and Son Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Jonny Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in Glory Bound Ministries Cemetery, 68 Glory Bound Place, Round O.

Born April 8, 1976, a native of Charleston, she was a daughter of John Keith Jones and Julie Windham Nelson. She will be fondly remembered as a great cook and for her love of crafts.

Surviving in addition to her father, John Keith Jones and his wife Susan of Walterboro; and her mother, Julie Windham Nelson and her husband Carl of Goose Creek are: her companion, Mr. Richard Powell of Florence; two sons, Nicholas Norris and his wife Desirae Donlon of Florence and Christopher Caswell of Marion, North Carolina; three daughters, Johnnie Taylor of Saint George, Kayla Taylor of New Jersey, and Onica Powell of Florence; three brothers, Bryn Martin of Goose Creek and Brett Scantling of Walterboro and William DeLoach of Walterboro; and five sisters, Stacey Ferguson of Summerville, Ashley Nicole Jones of Summerville, Crystal Robinson of Summerville, Kelly Hill of Moncks Corner, and Lindsey Ferguson of Summerville. She is also survived by one grandchild, Solan Leon Norris Donlon.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to her memorial fund, care of The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Post Office Drawer 50, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
