Kathryn Gooding

Mrs. Kathryn “Kathy” Anderson Gooding, 72, of Shaw Drive, Hampton, entered into her eternal rest Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Hospice of Charleston.

Funeral services will be conducted graveside at 11:30, Saturday morning, June 22, 2013, at the Gooding Cemetery, Crocketville, with the Reverend Paul Reid officiating.

Mrs. Gooding was born August 26, 1940, in Casar, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Anderson and Amanda Anderson Causby. She attended Gardner Webb University in North Carolina. Among her many passions were traveling, flowers, fishing and playing bridge as a member of the Hampton Bridge club.

Surviving are: her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Gerald Gooding; two sons, Kenneth Gerald “Jerry” Gooding, Jr. (Dana) of Fairview, Tennessee and William Scott Gooding of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister Shirley Tankink of Great Falls, Montana; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Daniel Gooding; a sister in law, LaRue G. Clark (Stan) of Columbia, South Carolina; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Anderson and a sister, Patricia Franzetti.

Flowers will be accepted or for those that wish, the family has respectfully requested that memorial donations be made in memory of Mrs. Gooding, to Gooding Cemetery, in c/o of Loretta Tuten, 9458 Bamberg Highway, Brunson, SC 29911.
