Kathryn Dianne Craven

Mrs. Kathryn “Dianne” Craven, 60, of Summerville, entered into rest Sunday morning, October 27, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Bedon Baptist Churchyard, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro.

Dianne was born on August 24, 1953, a native of Charleston, she was a daughter of the late George Washington Craven and the late Ruth Elizabeth Bazzle Craven. She loved flowers and tending to her garden. Most importantly she loved her children, grandchildren, her Don, and her companions Bully, Spankie, Bluebird and the late Shortie Magoo.

Surviving are: her fiancé: Donald J. York of Summerville; three Daughters: Tiffany Dukes (Joe Courchaine) of Summerville, Rhonda “Nikki” Smoak-Morgan (Philip Holsapple) of Summerville, and Jennifer Platt (Richie Kinard) of St. George; one sister: Sandra Rudd-Nash (Joe) of Dorchester, SC; and two brothers, Wallace Craven and Allen Craven (Tammy) both of Walterboro. There are five grandchildren: Brittany and Rudy Connell, Brett and Jessica Dukes, and Ashton Salter. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Gary Tillman Bazzle and Mamie Ada Bazzle and Josie and Essie Craven; and her brother, James Anthony “Tony” Wright.
