EHRHARDT - Kathleen Castleberry Copeland, 88, of Ehrhardt, South Carolina, died Friday, December 10, 2010, in Amarillo. Texas.



Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Wednesday afternoon, December 15, 2010 from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Ehrhardt with the Reverend Kelly Shanks officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Lutheran Cemetery, Ehrhardt.



Kathleen was born March 10, 1922 in Orangeburg, SC, to Fred B. and Rebecca Castleberry. She served as a Navy Nurse Corp Officer during WWII. She married Kenneth Copeland on December 29, 1949. She worked as a RN most of her life with the last 10 years of her career at the office of Drs. Foster and Knoy in Bamberg, South Carolina.



She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Copeland of Ehrhardt, SC; a son, Fred Hammond Copeland and his wife Annette of Henry, TN; two daughters, Mary Copeland Gray of Ehrhardt, SC and Kathy Wheeler and her husband Scott of Amarillo; two brothers, Tim Castleberry of Oklahoma City, OK, and F.B. Castleberry of Mena, Arkansas; a sister, Freda Reynolds of Dunellon, Florida; seven grandchildren, Adam Chaimowitz, Eric Wheeler, Nikki Toulouse, Heather Wheeler, Katie Siegrist, Rebecca Wheeler, and Sarah Wheeler; and a great-grandson, Kayden Wheeler.
