Karen Mixson Yeisley

Mrs. Karen Mixson Yeisley, 63, of Grays, entered into rest Saturday morning, June 18, 2022, at Memorial Health in Savannah.

Born April 27, 1959, in Hampton County, South Carolina she was a daughter of the late Eli and Margaret Mixson.  She was a devoted homemaker, centering her life around her Lord and Savior and her family.   She was a devoted Christian and member of Grace Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking and loved collecting cook books.

Surviving are: her husband of thirty-nine years, Mr. Walter Thomas Yeisley; three children, Walter T. Yeisley, Jr., Joy Margaret Yeisley, and Daniel Robert Yeisley all of Grays; six siblings, Joan Rushing of Estill, Harrison Mixson (Lynn) of Fairfax, Douglas Mixson, Sr. (Ruthie) of Ashton, Janet Mixon (William) of Grays, Gregory Mixson (Jessica) of Hampton, and Kent Mixson (Gale) of Tennessee; as well as a large host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed to a memorial fund in her memory, Post Office Drawer 50, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Tuesday morning, June 21, 2022, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Varnville.   Pastor Don Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Pocotaligo Road, Varnville.
