Karen Wright

Karen Renee Wright, 53, of Walterboro, SC, entered into eternal rest March 11, 2025 at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. She was born on November 27, 1971, in Charleston, SC to Sandra B. Lunceford and the late Wilburn Alvin Wright, Jr.

Renee is gone too soon! She will be known for her kindness, devotion and love but also could be a force to be reckoned with. Her love knew no bounds particularly for her family and friends. She was kind and generous. She especially loved children and seniors. Being she never had children, she considered her chihuahuas her babies. She will be remembered by all who knew her, one way or the other. Rest in peace sweet Renee.

Left to cherish her memories are her mother Sandra B. Lunceford and devoted stepfather Jerry Lunceford both of Bluffton, her life partner Joseph Ramsey of Walterboro, nephews William Tyler Goodwin (Caroline) of Islandton and Dakota R. Powers of Bluffton, SC, grandniece Isla Grace Goodwin of Islandton, stepsisters Nicole Stewart (Jeff) of Summerville, SC and Tonya Willingham (Craig) of Durham, NC, aunts Linda Hurst Owen of Columbia and Betty F. Britt of Holiday, Florida, uncle Gregory Britt of Walterboro, cousins, Julian Britt, Robert W. Hurst, Nicki B. Crosby (Vic), and Chad Britt (Colleen), her life partner’s family - mother of Joseph, Letha Ramsey, sons Bobby Joe (Michelle), their children, Jay Jay, Tyler, Sadie, Riley; Billie Joe (Donna Ann), their children, Summer and Hunter.

In addition to her father; a sister, Dawn Wright Davis; aunts, Ethel Sparkman and Debbie Britt; uncle, Glenburn Britt; and cousins, Deborah Walker and Gina Britt preceded her in death.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses, peculiarly Dr. Sharp and Nurse Kayla, at Trident Medical Center ICU for their compassionate care of Renee.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that contributions be made to your favorite charity in the memory of Karen Renee Wright.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, March 19, 2025, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The family will receive friends prior to the funeral ceremony beginning at 1 o’clock that afternoon.
