Mr. Justin Tyler Reeves, 33, of Ruffin, entered into rest Sunday, February 20, 2022, at his residence.
Born June 13, 1988, in Charleston, South Carolina, he was the son of Thomas L. Reeves, Jr. (Tommy) and the late Carla Diane Avant Reeves. Justin had a smile that would light up any room. He was a hard worker, having worked in the logging woods for 12 years.
Surviving are: his father, Tommy; his mom, Angie; his daughter, Maeli Jade Reeves (his little “Woo Woo” who he loved more than anything); two brothers, Thomas L. “Lil Tommy” Reeves, III and Trey Carter (Lindsey); a sister, Jenna “Kayley” Reeves (Tyler); his best friend and love of his life, Kandi “LaNae” and her daughter – Kaisley Isabella Jones; three nieces, Warner Ellison Moore, Abigail Ray Carter and Kennedy Mae Carter; Maternal Grandfather, Neal Avant; uncles, Matt Reeves (Tammy) and Robert “Bubba” Avant; aunts, Donna Miller (Terry), Rhonda McDonald (Larry), and Mary Jo Fox; and a host of beloved cousins.
He was preceded in death by a newborn daughter, Karli Kiersin Reeves; grandparents, Thomas Legare Reeves, Sr. and Georgia Mae Reeves, and Millie Crosby Avant; an uncle, Mark Reeves; and a cousin, Robert Bradley McDonald.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the college fund account for Justin's daughter, Maeli Jade Reeves, at Bank of the Lowcountry.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 o’clock Saturday morning, February 26, 2022, from the graveside at Cottageville Cemetery. The Reverend Dr. Zane Brown officiating.
