Biography

Mrs. June Orr Johnson, 78, of Phillips Road, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Roper Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Bedon Baptist Church in Walterboro. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born October 10, 1933 in Columbia and was a daughter of the late James Marion Orr, Sr. and Lillian Amick Orr. She was retired from Security Finance. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Bedon Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Good Neighbor Sunday School Class, the WMU and the Kitchen Committee. She was devoted to her church and to her family and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Surviving are: her husband, Clyde Johnson of Walterboro; children, Marty Johnson and his wife Karin Muscarella-Johnson of Manhattan, New York, Teri Lynn Fulton of Walterboro and Phillip Johnson of Walterboro; grandchildren, Sophie, Jack, and Kerry and his wife Brittany; great granddaughter, Bailey; sisters, Patty Smith and her husband Leon Smith of Newberry and Sherry Peterson and her husband Keith of Columbia; brother-in-law, James Alton Johnson and his wife Betty of Walterboro; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Marion Orr, Jr.
