Judy Vera Strickland

Mrs. Judy Vera DeLong Strickland, 59, of Trackside Drive in Lodge, entered into rest Thursday afternoon, August 8, 2013, at the Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.

Born January 8, 1953, a native of Shallotte, North Carolina, she was a daughter of Mrs. Mary Raymond Hiers and the late Albert Hiers. She was a member of Carter’s Ford Baptist Church in Lodge.

Surviving in addition to her mother of Lodge are: two sons, Steve DeLong and Thomas Strickland; two daughters, Melissa Couch and Julie Strickland; two brothers, Preston Hiers and James Cox; and three sisters, Marie Hickman, Rosie Carter, and Alberta Holiday. There are four grandchildren that also survive.
