Judy Mock Cook

Mrs. Judy Mock Cook, 68, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday morning, September 17, 2021, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.  She was the wife of the late Ralph William Cook, Sr.

Born July 28, 1953, in Colleton County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Lee Cornellius Mock and the late Nettie Lee O’Quinn Mock. She was a longtime member of Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church in Walterboro.  Judy possessed a large and loving heart, always centering her life around her family and always holding her grandchildren close to her heart.  She was an excellent southern cook who was especially known for her fried chicken.  She will always be remembered for her love of shopping and going to the beach.

Surviving are: two sons, Ralph William Cook, Jr. and his wife Marlene of Walterboro and Jason Lee Cook and his wife Lisa of Walterboro; three brothers, David Mock (Mary), Charlie Mock (Cindy), and Bobby Mock (Robin) all of Walterboro; a sister, Connie Mock Yow (Ron) of Ashboro, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Royce Stanfill (Abigail), Travis Cook, Josh Carter (Julie); two great grandchildren; and her companion, Ricky “Bo” Ryan.   She is survived by a large host of extended family to include a special niece who she loved as a daughter, Janet Sykes; and a sister-in-law, Deloris Stanfield.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, September 19, 2021, from Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church, 126 Doctor’s Creek Road, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in the churchyard.   The family will receive friends prior to the funeral ceremony beginning at 2 o’clock that afternoon in the church sanctuary.
