Joyce Breland Stynchcomb

Mrs. Joyce Breland Stynchcomb, 81, of Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday morning, October 29, 2022, at Pruitt Health Care in Walterboro.  She was the wife of fifty-one years to the late Mr. Errol Lee Stynchcomb.

Born March 10, 1941, in Colleton County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Robbie Bruce Breland and the late Novis Ulmer Breland.  She was a lifelong member of Black Creek Baptist Church, where she was church organist, a Sunday School teacher, and treasurer of more than thirty years.  She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, and sewing as she was a very talented seamstress.  She will always be remembered as one who spent her life serving the Lord and others.

Surviving are: a son, Stephen Stynchcomb and his wife Mary Gail of Walterboro; a daughter, Susan Stynchcomb Seigler and her husband Mark; a sister, Ann Breland Syfrett and her husband Ashton of Walterboro; and a brother, Michael Breland and his wife Miriam of Walterboro.   There are two grandchildren, Jessep Stynchcomb and his wife Liz and Benjamin Seigler as well as two great grandchildren, Raven and Arya Stynchcomb.

Flowers will be accepted, or for those that wish, the family has suggested that memorials be directed in her memory to the following:  Black Creek Baptist Church, 4931 Black Creek Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488; or to, The Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.

The Relatives and Friends of Mrs. Joyce Breland Stynchcomb are invited to attend her funeral services which will be conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, November 2, 2022, from the graveside in Black Creek Baptist Churchyard, 4931 Black Creek Road, Walterboro.   The Reverend Kenneth McCaskill officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 1 o’clock in the church social hall.
