Joyce Osborne

Mrs. Joyce Ritter Osborne, 85, of Walterboro, entered into rest Saturday morning, January 1, 2022 at Pruitt Healthcare in Walterboro.  She was the widow of Mr. Roy Osborne.

Born November 14, 1936 in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Paul Ritter and Pauline Ritter Crawford.  She was a member of First Assembly of God and had attended Faith Church in Walterboro.

Surviving are: her son, Samuel Lee Benton of Matthews, North Carolina; sisters, Amelia Grimm of Walterboro, Iris Pellino of Texas, Betty Mizzell of Moncks Corner, Deborah Cummings of Walterboro, and Audrey Albers of Ravenel; brother, Lester Donnell Hiers of Greenwood; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Carter; and a brother, Wendell Hiers.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon, January 4, 2022 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1150 Possum Corner Road, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in ­­the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 1 o’clock in the church sanctuary.
