Joyce Turner Colley

Mrs. Joyce Turner Colley, 77, entered into rest Monday morning, December 3, 2018, at her home in Walterboro under the care of Heartland Hospice.  She was the loving wife of the late Mr. Edward Franklin Colley.

Born July 19, 1941, in Marion County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Hudson Wesley Turner and the late Sarah Vernon Atkinson Turner.   She was a member of the Peniel United Methodist Church.  She will forever be remembered for the love she possessed for her family, always centering her life around those she loved.

Surviving are: her children, Shirley Pellum and her husband Mark Pellum of Walterboro; Charles Ellerbee “Bubba” Crosby, Jr. and his wife Donna Mixon Crosby of Round O, and David Wesley Crosby and his wife Tammy Crosby of Ruffin; two brothers, Glen Turner and George “Pete” Turner both of Florida; seven grandchildren, Lisa Thompson (Richard), Michele Pinnix (Glen), Reggie Smoak (Crystal), Paige Spell (Chad), Daniel Peters (Becca), Lee Peters, and Ashley Crosby (Dakota); as well as fifteen great grandchildren.    She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Wayne Turner, John Turner, and Larry Turner.

A memorial service will be conducted 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon, December 8, 2018, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The Reverend Kevin Hinton officiating.  The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony.
