Joshua Blake

Joshua “Josh” Stephen Blake, 27, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013.

Josh was born in Charleston, SC, a son of Melanie Allen Blake and Reverend Michael Blake. He was a US Marine Corps Veteran, having served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. Josh was an EMT with Vital Care.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Frank Blake, and his maternal grandfather, Bobby Risher.

In addition to his parents of Ridgeland, SC, Josh is survived by his wife, Patricia Williams Blake; their children, Farrah Alexis Blake and Xander Austin Blake; his sister, Chelsea Blake Clites of Charleston; his paternal grandmother, Ina Blake and maternal grandmother, Marie Risher; and his mother-in-law, Becky Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, August 29, 2013, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will be held Friday morning, August 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in Grace Advent Christian Church Cemetery, 398 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 6 PM on Thursday at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, 2402 South Irby Street, Florence.
