Mr. Joseph Sheban, II, age 43, of Lynwood Road in the Forest Hills Subdivision of Walterboro, a loving and gentle spirit entered into rest Monday afternoon, October 28, 2013.

A private family celebration of Joseph’s life and accomplishments will be celebrated from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Dr. Zane Brown officiating.

Born March 6, 1970, a native of Washington, DC; he was the son of George Joseph Sheban and Linda Lucas Sheban. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Chico State University in California where he was on the Dean’s list. Joseph traveled the world, having made his home in Chico, California; Dallas, Texas; and North Charleston prior to traveling abroad for nearly ten years. He toured over forty countries and eventually resided in the Czech Republic where he was an English teacher and tutor. Joseph also taught English for a period of time at the University of Beijing, China. He will be fondly remembered as an avid rock climber and bicyclist.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Walterboro and his father of Dallas, Texas; are his grandmother, Mrs. Rudell C. Morales of Goose Creek; an uncle, Robert Lucas; and an aunt, Jeneen Sheban Beckett. He is also survived by a host of loving cousins and friends from around the United States and other parts of the world.
