Jonathan Edwards

Jonathan Miguel Edwards, 48, entered into eternal rest Monday morning, October 3, 2022, at Colleton Medical Center.

He was born September 10, 1974, he was the son to the late Juan Aragon and the late Elizabeth Ann Edwards Grubb.  Mr. Edwards was known for his passion for motorcycles and genuineness to help others. High school graduate, class of 1992, from Everett Area High School and later completed his law enforcement degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Jon was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in the Special Forces- 7th Division.  He was a hard worker in law enforcement under the Walterboro Police Department and Colleton County Sheriff’s Office for many years.  In addition to the South Carolina police agencies, Jon also served for the Everett Borough Police Department, Bedford Borough Police Department, and Bedford County Sheriffs Department. Jon was known to be a jack of all trades. His other work history included service as a mechanic, truck driver, irrigation specialist, and our personal hero.

He is survived by: his sisters, Jen E. McDermott-Grubb (June) and Julianna Wert (Brad Robinette); and his best friend, Phillip Roberson. He is also survived by: his two nieces, Odessa McDermott-Grubb and Naomi Wert.  Jon was loved by many extended family members and friends in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and across the map.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Harry and Naomi Edwards, Dean and Alice Grubb, and an uncle, Jerome Smyers.

Jon was always the life of the party; in his memory, there will be a celebration of life held at a later date in Everett, Pennsylvania.
